The Challenge

NTT Data needed to deliver a global End User Computing (EUC) M&A / Transition, as part of their end-client’s $100B merger and subsequent separation into three businesses. NTT Data engaged Illuminet, as their partner, to drive this programme.

The Solution

Scope included device refreshes, Win 10, Apps, O365, Cloud Computing & Print

Illuminet rapidly mobilised a global distributed team of experts (PMO, Deployment, Solutioning, Apps, Virtualisation, Print, People & Warehouse Migration Teams), seamlessly working with NTT DATA’s delivery teams.

The Team:

Collaborated with the end-client & other service providers at a global, regional & site level, with streamlined governance, sequencing, tracking, clear insights & updates, timely escalation & exception handling.
Managed provisioning and go-live of virtual desktops.
Reviewed, rationalised and processed desktop applications.
Introduced new service processes and solutions to migrate remote users.

The Impact

The M&A was a great success, covering 249 locations, 64 sites & 50 warehouses across 47 countries in 4 regions. It was delivered on time within 16 months:

66,000 users provisioned with virtual desktops.
8,181 users using 7,313 devices (4,738 new) migrated to the new environment.
1,748 remote users migrated from across 136 locations globally.
1,000+ printers migrated.
1,100+ applications assessed and 257 were migrated.
