The Challenge
One of the world’s largest trading markets needed to modernise its IT Services, improve its ITIL Processes and replace its legacy ITSM (Service Management) platform with an effective CMDB integrated into the Client’s key IT systems, to improve efficiency and better support the business and meet regulatory compliance requirements around resilience & recovery.
The Solution
Illuminet gathered and analysed the business, regulatory, IT & security requirements, then working with Procurement, Illuminet facilitated the 3rd party application assessment / selection process through to award.
Illuminet then implemented the new ITSM platform & CMDB. Illuminet provided the interim IT Service Management & Operation Management and led the Project & Change Management, refined the technical requirements & delivered the platform, including 9 separate toolset integrations and c. 10k configuration items. As an approach aligning the ITIL service management processes to work in the new environment.
The Impact
All the requirements were fully assessed, the tender process was then successful in assessing and selecting an appropriate tool.
The shortlist resulted in Cherwell (now part of Ivanti) ranked highest, closely followed by ServiceNow.
The Cherwell ITSM & CMDB implementation was delivered on time and budget, meeting the business requirements, enabling the Client to meet the regulatory requirements while also improving their IT services.
